Father-Daughter physician team proud to serve the Miami Valley
Welcome to RehabMed H and H. We are a physician practice with two full-time Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation specialists, also called physiatrists.
James B. Hoover, MD
Board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
Dr. Hoover was born and raised in Pleasant Hill, Ohio. He attended Ashland University where he studied chemistry and math. He attended the University of Cincinnati for medical school, where he also completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in 1983. He has been living in Troy since 1987. His interests include electrodiagnostic testing and musculoskeletal pain. During his spare time, he enjoys golfing, watching golf on TV, talking about golf (see a pattern here?) and spending time with family.
Rebecca Sue Hayworth, MD
Board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
Dr. Hayworth was born and raised in Troy, Ohio. She attended Wright State University where she studied psychology with a concentration in behavioral neuroscience. She attended THE Ohio State University for medical school. She completed her internship in Preliminary Medicine at Riverside Methodist Hospital, and then came back to Ohio State to complete her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, where she served as chief resident her final year. Her interests include prosthetics, brain injury, and spinal cord injury. During her spare time, she enjoys running, hiking with her husband, and spending time with her dogs, Frodo and Strider.
Shar Coverstone
Shar is our medical assistant at our Sidney office. She lives in Sidney and enjoys spending time with her family.
Cathy Hoover
It’s truly a family affair! Cathy is Dr. Hoover’s wife of 46 years, and Dr. Hayworth’s mother. She is working part-time as a receptionist. She enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, doing yardwork, and reading.
April Brown
April Brown works with RehabMed as a medical assistant and scheduler. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She lives in Miami County with her husband, Rod, and her two sons, Tyler and Ryan.
Frodo Hayworth
Frodo is a 8 year old cavachon, and the office mascot. He occasionally likes to visit and sit in Dr. Hoover's office chair. He enjoys walks, rolling in the grass, tummy rubs, and lots of treats.
Strider Hayworth
Strider is a miniature Australian shepherd. He is 6 years old. He loves chewing bones, going for runs with Dr. Hayworth, herding all of us on walks, and staring us down with those blue eyes!
